What made you to want to become a live music performer? From a young age I have always enjoyed writing and composing music so much I wanted to be able to perform my compositions live to an audience so more people could hear them.

Where do you find your inspiration for your music? Lots of modern composers such as John Barry, Samuel Barber, Ludovico Einaudi and pop/rock artists such as Elbow, Damien Rice, Turin Brakes and Pink Floyd.

If you could follow in any composer/musicians foot prints, who would it be and why? I really admire Joan Armatrading for her Longevity, and over her career of 45+ years she has steadily built a large, loyal global fan base. She is a consummate live performer, very professional and retains a very warm, amiable persona and has a wonderful stage presence. She is loved for her music and songwriting ability. She has no major record label backing her so is largely independent from the blue chip music industry entities.

What advice do you have for young people wishing to enter the live music industry?/what’s the best advice you’ve ever received? It’s a tough industry, you must be prepared to work hard, be in it for the long haul. Best advice: Be willing to learn from others, networking and connections are the key to developing a career.

What’s been your most embarrassing moment on stage and why? Once at a gig, my Trousers split in quite possibly the worst place, so hopefully that explains my worst moment on stage ever!
