From director Saul Dibb, a timely new adaptation of the celebrated WWI play by RC Sherriff, released one hundred years after the events it depicts. Set over four days in March 1918, a small group of soldiers in the front line trenches, wait to be bombarded by enemy artillery, anticipating certain death. Eighteen-year-old Lieutenant Raleigh joins the Company commanded by Captain Stanhope, his twenty-year-old family friend and hero, who has changed almost beyond recognition.
