Backstage Youth Theatre Workshops

For School Years 8 – 13

Are you interested in seeing what our productions are like from behind the curtain?

Our Backstage Youth Theatre Workshops are a great chance to come and see what it is like working in costume, set and prop design, lighting, sound or stage management.

Guided by our staff, you’ll get hands on seeing what day to day life is like working in theatre, getting the chance to work with our team in preparing for our shows, learn new skills and meet likeminded people who all love creating theatre magic.

Coming up we have –

Thursday 20th March 4.30pm – 6pm: Puppet Making for The Little Mermaid

Thursday 27th March 4.30pm – 6pm: Costume Making for The Little Mermaid

Thursday 3rd April 4.30pm – 6pm: Set and Props Making for The Little Mermaid

Thursday 10th April 5pm – 6.30pm: Tech – Pyros 101 – An introduction to Pyrotechnics 

Thursday 8th May 4.30pm – 6pm: Costume – Breaking down and ageing costumes

Thursday 15th May 5pm – 6.30pm: Tech – Setting up for a Comedian

Each session costs £15, but we believe no one should miss out due to financial constraints. Bursaries are available via The Elliott Fund for those who need them.
