Can You Ever Forgive Me?
A melancholic true story about the struggling celebrity biographer Lee Israel (Melissa McCarthy) and her unlikely new form of income. Lee makes her living in the 1970s and 80s profiling the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Tallulah Bankhead and Estee Lauder, but when she is no longer able to get published, because she has fallen out of step with current tastes, she turns her art form to deception, abetted by her loyal friend Jack (Richard E. Grant). Boasting critically-acclaimed performances from both McCarthy and Grant. Directed by Marielle Heller.
