Full Description

The Good Ship Comedy With: Esther Manito & Matt Green

An Arab Essex girl who will challenge every single preconception of what that means. Esther has supported Alan Davies, Shappi Khorsandi, Sindhu Vee, Jason Mansford, Jo Brand and Al Murray. This year she took that experience and splashed it all over the airwaves, making her debut appearance on Live at the Apollo. She has also appeared on BBC sounds Russel Kane’s Evil Genius, Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack Unplugged, Drunk Women Solving Crime and Russell Kane’s Boys Don’t Cry. She is also a published writer in the satirical collection, “Don’t Panic I’m Islamic” and blazed a trail as the first female comic to play the Dubai Opera House.

“A lot of hair and a lot of talent.”Beyond the Joke

“An adept and assured performer.” Chortle

Matt has been performing stand-up comedy since 2003, appearing at venues all across the UK and the world, including gigs in Australia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway, Romania, Slovenia and Singapore!

He is an adept observational comic, mixing daft notions about everyday mundanities with quick-witted improvisation and cutting satirical barbs. Over the past two years Matt has crafted out a unique place on the internet as one of Twitter and YouTube’s finest homemade sketch performers. He regularly pumps out several videos a week skewering the latest current affairs nonsense. Chances are that you’ll have seen Matt’s videos sloshing around your social media, bringing some much needed levity to the news cycle.

“A set full of poise, wit and expertly placed callbacks… Really funny”The Scotsman
