Our weekly drama workshops are great for anyone with an interest in performing and a passion for theatre!
Through fun and creative workshops, Trinity Youth Theatre members learn different skills, featuring a mixture of devising, improvisation, games and script work.
At the end of the term, groups take part in a short performance of what they have been doing to an invited audience of family and friends. Members are expected to come to as many weeks as possible, and to take part in the sharing performance at the end of term.
Our workshops are a superb way to build confidence, develop skills and make friends.
We have a range of groups, spread across four age groups which run on Mondays. The groups take place either at Trinity Theatre – on our stage, in our studio room, or in our Foyer – or at The Wells Free School, a short walk up the road from Trinity. We rotate groups around locations at the start of each term to ensure everyone gets a chance to use the stage throughout the year.
Our Act Two group meets from 4.30pm – 5.45pm at Trinity Theatre.
The Summer term costs £100 for 8 weeks (shorter than usual to allow for all of the Bank Holidays) New members can sign up for a one-week taster session (£11) to decide if it is for them. If it is, they will have their space ready for them to sign up for the rest of the term.
We know times are currently financial tough for some families, and don’t want anybody who wants to come to be put off by the price. We have bursaries available via The Elliott Fund for those who need financial support.
All of our groups are led by experienced, DBS-checked professional youth theatre leaders. Please see Trinity Theatre’s Safeguarding Policy for more information.
If you have any questions, please send Jason an email and he will get back to you as soon as he can.
“She loves her time at Trinity. She feels it’s where she belongs and is accepted for just being her.”
