Introduction to Puppetry Online Workshops
Tuesday 2 March to Tuesday 23 March
4.30pm – 5.30pm for school years 3-6
6.00pm – 7.00pm for school years 7-10
Join puppeteer and puppet maker, Katie from Rust & Stardust in this Introduction to Puppetry workshop. This short Zoom course, held over four weeks, is designed for beginners, no previous experience is required! Take part in four one-hour sessions on Zoom, to learn puppeteer’s warm-ups, performance techniques, object manipulation, voice and lip syncing, rod and shadow puppetry.
Puppetry is a fantastic way to tell stories in new, imaginative ways! You will learn the basics of bringing objects to life and be taught how to make a few simple puppets of your own.
You will also have a chance to meet some of Katie’s puppets and get to ask lots of questions!
It costs £25 to take part in the four-week course.
Due to the course taking place online, you will be asked to have a few household items to hand. This list will be sent out before the start of the course.
We need to reach a minimum number of spaces in order to run this course adequately. If we do not meet this number by Saturday 20 February we will sadly have to cancel.
Any questions? Please send Jason an email via firstname.lastname@example.org
