Introduction to Traditional Animation Online Workshops
Monday 1 March to Monday 22 March
4.30pm – 5.30pm for school years 3-6
6.00pm – 7.00pm for school years 7-10
Animation is one of the oldest forms of storytelling, and whilst technology has changed, the magic of bringing inanimate objects to life has stayed the same.
Join animator and puppeteer Katie Sommers in 4 workshops to learn the magic of animation! In these hour-long weekly Zoom workshops you will learn the basics of animation, make a flip book and spin a character into motion with your very own zoetrope. You will be shown how to bring everyday objects to life with the art of stop motion and animate your own body using pixilation!
It costs £25 to take part in the four-week course.
Due to the course taking place online, you will be asked to have a few household items to hand. This list will be sent out before the start of the course.
We need to reach a minimum number of spaces in order to run this course adequately. If we do not meet this number by Saturday 20 February we will sadly have to cancel.
Any questions? Please send Jason an email via email@example.com
No one should be unable to take part because of financial constraints. Bursaries from The Elliott Foundation are available for those on low incomes. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
