Kenton Cool - Everest the Cool Way
“Kenton Cool is without doubt the most formidable mountaineer of his generation.” – Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
Kenton Cool – Everest the Cool Way, presented by Speakers from the Edge.
Kenton Cool holds the British record for Everest ascents, at 14 times. He is the only person in the world to have summited Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse in one season, completing the task in just six days. Undoubtedly, he is one of the world’s most successful and revered climbers.
Fourteen-time Everest summit climber and the first mountaineer in the world, alongside Sherpa Dorje Gyglen, to complete the Ultimate Three Peak Challenge – Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse – in just seven days, he was also the first Brit to complete a ski-descent of an 8,000m peak, Cho Oyu in Nepal, and one of very few in the world to complete ski-descents of multiple 8,000m peaks after becoming the third person ever to make a ski-descent of Nepal’s Manaslu.
Kenton is a leading high altitude guide with a reputation for being able to motivate his clients on the most challenging of climbs. His bold approach and determination to see his clients achieve their dreams has made him the most successful and sought after mountain guide of recent times.
In Everest the Cool Way, Kenton talks about his life of climbing and adventure, from the current state of Everest, climbing Aconcagua and skiing Denali, to the jungles of Bolivia and the mountains of Papua.
