October line up
Headliner · Lieutenant Leek
Lieutenant Leek are a two-piece acoustic alternative country act from Kent. The duo, comprising of Matt Pound on guitar/vocals and Tom Jennings on guitar, have been writing, playing and recording their own unique brand of country music for over a decade. Whilst Matt eulogises obscure individuals from darker periods of political history, Tom’s role is to leave the audience guessing as he twists and turns between key, mode and dynamics. Their motto is “if it doesn’t hurt, it’s not worth playing”. They recently became the proud winners of the Dave Cash Tribute Award at Black Deer 2018 and earned a ‘featured artists’ stage spot at Cambridge Folk Festival 2019.
Opening Act · Freddy Green
Described as British Indie-Folk music at its finest, Freddy Green has been writing music for the most significant years of his life. Drawing inspiration from artists like Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice and Johnny Flynn, Freddy’s songs combine sensitive, intelligent ideas with glorious songwriting and inventive lyrics.
