National Theatre Connections Reading Club
Trinity Youth Theatre is taking part in National Theatre Connections 2020!
Every year, the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow.
In 2019, we performed Variations by Katie Hims and in 2018, we staged Natalie Mitchell’s When They Go Low. We need your help to decide which play we take on next!
We are reading scripts and inviting anyone aged 13 – 19 to come along and join us, to see how they sound and help decide which one we would like to put as our first and second choices.
“Connections was one of the best things I’ve ever got involved with. I’d love to do it again in the future! I loved that fact I got to know the cast. They were incredible and I’ve made some good friends from that cast.”
– Nathan, 2019 company
Monday 26 August, 2.30pm – 5pm; 5.30pm – 8pm
Tuesday 27 August, 7pm – 9pm
Monday 2 September, 5pm – 8.30pm
Free to attend
We will be reading different scripts at each session. Read the synopses from the National Theatre.
There will be some snacks and soft drinks provided, and don’t worry – this is not an audition, we’ll just be having fun with some new writing.
The Reading Club is not an audition. You do not need to be a member of Trinity Youth Theatre to take part.
