Show in a Week: Aladdin Kids cast members
Join Our Aladdin Cast!
Rehearsed and performed in one week:
Monday 24 – Friday 28 July 2023
What is a Show in a Week?
We stage a musical in one week during the Summer Holidays, with children aged 5-11 taking all of the roles! This year, we are performing Aladdin Kids, based on the Disney animated classic – we need an Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Jafar and more!
Over the week, we will learn the classic songs adjusted for younger voices, put together some fabulous dance numbers, and rehearse the rest of the show so we can perform it for an audience at the end of the week on the Trinity stage.
Everyone who signs up gets cast in the show, with low-pressure auditions determining who takes on what role.
All cast members get a show t-shirt and digital copies of the show photos.
We provide the costumes, make-up, props and set, making the show look at brilliant as possible. Our young cast rehearse, perform, have fun, make friends and create memories that will last for years!
There may be two casts for the show, which will be determined by the audition date depending on the number of sign-ups. The rehearsal locations will be within a short distance of Trinity Theatre.
Younger children (those going into School Years 1-3 from September) rehearse from 9.30am – 12.30pm each day, while older children (School Years 4-6) rehearse from 9.30am – 3.30pm, joining together at Trinity in the early afternoon.
For School Years 1-3, it costs £120 to take part in the week (that’s only £24 per half-day of rehearsals!)
For School Years 4-6, it costs £210 to take part in the week (or £42 per full-day of rehearsals!)
We will also be offering wrap-around activities in both the morning and the afternoon and the option to buy a nutritious and tasty lunch from our Bistro.
We know times are currently financial tough for some families, and don’t want anybody who wants to come to be put off by the price. We have bursaries available via The Elliott Fund for those who need financial support.
What’s the Schedule?

- Rehearsals: Monday 24 July – Friday 28 July (see above for age-specific times)

“I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone involved with the production of Winnie the Pooh last week. My daughter had an absolutely fabulous time and enjoyed every minute. The performance was wonderful! The programmes, photography, costumes, sound and stage management were so professional. The whole production was such a great experience for the children and so enjoyable to watch.“
