“An AWESOME experience!”
Show in a Week cast member, 2018

Join us in the Hundred Acre Wood for our exciting Show in a Week for ages 5-11!

Our Show in a Week is now cast, but we are looking for other activities we can run the Summer. Sign up to the Summer waiting list to find out if other activities get added or our weekly workshops waiting list.

A delightful show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film, Winnie the Pooh Kids features your favourite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen). This honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course… sharing snacks.

Our Summer of Fun!

We are planning a whole Summer fun. Here’s just some of the things we have coming up:

What is a Show in a Week?

Our Shows in a Week are a fantastic opportunity for children aged 5-11 – to rehearse, perform, have fun, make friends and create memories that will last for years. Over the course of a week, we will put together a show – acting, rehearsing songs and learning dance numbers to then perform at Trinity Theatre with costumes, make-up and props to friends and family. Weather permitting, Winnie the Pooh Kids will be performed outside in our magical garden under our big tree, creating our very own Hundred Acre Wood!

“They all did so well, my child loved it and he has already asked to book for next year! Thank you everyone for making it so fun for them all!”

To audition, participants will need to sing a song from a similar popular show – selected by us and sent out in advance – and learn a few lines for different characters from the show.

Everyone who signs up will be a part of the cast whether that be auditioning for a named character or for those who don’t want to audition, as part of our fun ensemble cast. Video auditions will be held in late June / early July and are a fun, low pressure way to determine who gets what part.

When Does It Happen?

  • Auditions: Held by video. Casting announced a week before the show starts
  • Rehearsals: Monday 26 July – Friday 30 July, 10am – 2.30pm, please ensure you bring a packed lunch and a water bottle with you!
  • Performance: Friday 30 July, 4.30pm

Keeping Everyone Safe

Trinity Theatre’s Safeguarding Policy

In line with the February released Government Roadmap, we will be able to run this show as planned, but if we have to cancel or postpone the week, everyone will receive a full refund or the option to move to the new dates.
