While we have currently ‘sold out’ on our initial batch of places, we are actively looking at how we can expand our offering this Summer in a safe and Covid-secure way. Sign up to the Summer waiting list to find out when more opportunities become available!

Our Summer of Fun!

We are planning a whole Summer fun. Here’s just some of the things we have coming up:

Sister Act is the feel-amazing musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and The Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

  • Auditions: Those who want bigger roles will be invited to submit video auditions in June, with casting announced once distancing and other requirements are confirmed in June.
  • Rehearsals: Monday 26 – Friday 30 July, 10am – 5pm; Monday 2 – Friday 6 August, 10am – 5pm
  • Performances: Friday 6 August, 7.30pm; Saturday 7 August, 2pm and 7.30pm
  • We are currently hoping we can go ahead with the show in the way we plan, but have backup plans in place in case we need to split it in two to accommodate distancing and bubble sizes. If so, we will add in additional performances but to ensure everyone gets as big an audience as possible, we will limit it to two performances per cast. This may involve performances on Sunday 8 August.

Everyone who signs up will take part, with auditions to determine who gets named roles and which group in the ensemble you are in.

A £100 deposit is required upfront, and the full participation fees are £315 (the remaining balance is due by the middle of July), which include a show hoodie, two show tickets and two weeks of rehearsals and training led by a team of talented professional artists.

We hope that COVID restrictions will have ended by Summer 2021, but if we have to cancel or postpone the shows, everyone will receive a full refund or the option to move to the new dates.

If you have any questions, please contact Jason and Rachel via education@trinitytheatre.net

No one should be unable to take part because of financial constraints. Bursaries from The Elliott Foundation are available for those on low incomes. Please contact education@trinitytheatre.net for more information.
