Young Film Programmers
For ages 16-21
Free to take part!
Trinity Theatre is pleased to have received funding from the Independent Cinema Office and BFI to run our Young Film Programmers group.
Young Film Programmers are responsible for programming and running monthly film screenings at Trinity Theatre. From the marketing designs to the film itself, it’s all up to you. As a member of the YFP Group, you take part in regular meetings (on Zoom where necessary) and come along to our monthly film screenings.
Any questions? Please email Jason at education@trinitytheatre.net
You will work alongside Trinity staff to curate, research, promote and run an exciting film programme and special events. You don’t have to be an expert film critic – there’s lots to take part in! Oh, and it will look great on UCAS statements and CVs. Alongside having a say in what gets programmed, here are some of the other areas you could get involved with:
- Audience Experience – leads on providing the best possible environment for everyone who comes along
- Outreach and Networking – creating connections with local people to help spread the word
- Marketing – leads on creating advertising and promotion plans
- Finance – oversees programme budget and looks after the money with Trinity staff
Trinity Theatre Young Film Programmers provides the opportunity to not only experience the fun and creative process behind programming film screenings, but also shines a light on the business and operational aspects of programming content. Come and talk about films – from how much you love (or hate) Wes Anderson to how much you prefer Burton’s earlier work – and learn what it’s really like to program and carry out screenings for a cinema.
The YFP provides real life insight into events, marketing, media, business, vast popcorn consumption and the arts.
