Our Café & Bar
Let cake and coffee take centre stage in our Café
The rumours are true: we are so much more than a theatre here at Trinity. In this particular instance, deliciously so, thanks to our dramatically tasty cakes and artisan coffee. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive venue and that includes your furry friends; well behaved dogs are welcome inside the Café & Bar and assistance dogs inside the Auditorium.
The Café & Bar is situated in the heart of our award-winning community venue. Trinity has always been a sanctuary – once as a church, and now as a relaxing space amid the bustle of the town. Whether you’re here for a retail pitstop, to catch up with friends, or to watch a performance, please do come in, pull up a pew, and indulge in our beverages and bakes.

Our Coffee
All our coffee is made with Fairtrade, organic, Brazilian and Colombian beans, provided by local experts the Tunbridge Wells Coffee Roastery, based on The Salomons Estate. Proprietor Peter specialises in sourcing the finest premium green coffee beans from around the world, and then roasts them himself to order. Please do come and sample the results of his hard work while you put your feet up.

Our Homemade Cakes and Bakes
Tracy might not be on the stage here, but she creates a one-woman magic show each day by turning unassuming baking ingredients into something outstanding! The only downside is that you need to choose between her offerings, whether that’s weekly staple favourites such as chocolate brownies, millionaire shortbread and rocky road, or the ever-changing variety of muffins, biscuits, cakes and scones available alongside them. All our (okay, Tracy’s) produce is freshly baked in-house and includes vegan and gluten-free options too.

Our Bar
Our bar service runs from 11am (shh, it’ll be 12 o’clock somewhere) each day, and remains open until the Box Office closes at 3pm (longer on days when a show is running). The bar also opens one hour ahead of each evening performance.
Much like our cakes and coffee, we’re lucky enough to showcase some of our finest local produce here. In fact, our wine is as local as you can get, being supplied by our Church Road neighbours, The Secret Cellar (and making it therefore no secret that our wine list is pretty exceptional).
And if wine isn’t your thing, we also have a range of beers, spirits and soft drinks on offer. Some highlights include Skylarking Session IPA from local brewers Pig and Porter, and Anno gin, direct from their award-winning distillery in Marden.

Our Garden
As well as our indoor seating, you can also enjoy your hot and cold beverages in our award-winning garden. Thanks to our fantastic gardening volunteers who maintain the space all year, our outdoor space is something really special. A haven for plants and wildlife, our garden retains the peace and beauty of the churchyard it once was, with seating for sunnier days.
We look forward to welcoming you here soon! If you have any questions, please ask at the Box Office or email enquiries@trinitytheatre.net and remember that the space is also available for private hire.

Getting Here
Here’s the good news – we’re easily reached in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, however you might be travelling!
Our address is Church Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1JP – just a short walk up the hill from the station, and very close to the bus stops by the Town Hall and The Amelia.
Trinity is a 5-minute walk from Tunbridge Wells train station and approximately 50-minutes from London Charing Cross by train.
Accessibility
We have an accessible entrance via our North Door and an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
All our main spaces are step-free on the ground floor of the building, including our Box Office, Foyer, Café & Bar and Gallery. Please note that there is no access lift to the studio rooms on the first floor, or up to the Clocktower beyond. However, we do have a fully accessible touchscreen on a kiosk in the Foyer to allow non-climbers to explore the floors above – even the view from the roof!
- Our auditorium is raked from Row A which is on the same level as the Foyer. If you have mobility issues we would suggest that you book Row A.
- Personal carers go free to performances and guide dogs are welcome.
- Hearing assistance headsets are available to book, please check with the Box Office on 01892 678 678 on current usability.
- Our auditorium can accommodate two wheelchairs. Please contact the Box Office on 01892 678 678 to book wheelchair seats if required.
- We have 2 designated disabled parking bays adjacent to the accessible entrance.

Parking
We have a small car park onsite.
Please note that there is a charge to park. All monies raised from parking are used by our charity funds to help support our community outreach.
Our car park was once the sweeping circle used to drop worshippers to church in their carriages. This means that space is quite tight – please take care when parking and do not use the ‘small car only’ bays if you drive a Monster Truck.
We have 2 designated disabled bays adjacent to the accessible entrance.
The gravelled area at the rear of the building is for staff, volunteers, casts and crews only. Please do not block the entrance to this, or park in the yellow grid.
